81 total students. After a very large graduating class, there were only 27 students remaining from the previous year.  The band had been asked to represent the city of Phoenix in Taipei, Taiwan. The largest recruiting class in 30 years added 54 new members.  As in the previous year, the only rating awarded to the band was Superior.  

Superior Rating

The band grew to 61 students.  This hard working group of students pulled of the unexpected.  From this point forward, the band only received Superior Ratings including the programs first ever Superior rating in the schools State Marching Festival History

Superior Rating

The band grew to 53 students and had a large growth in scores from the previous years including the bands first Superior Rating in many at the Eastern Arizona College band day.

Excellent Rating

Becoming the fourth band director in as many years, the year began with a total of 12 students in the band program. Word quickly spread on campus about the energy of the band program and the band grew over the next few weeks to 43 students.
